The UCL Humanitarian Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded opportunity for students who are at serious risk or have been displaced due to armed conflict to pursue a full-time master’s degree at University College London (UCL).

The scholarship is designed to support individuals from low-income backgrounds who have been forced to leave their home country or are internally displaced due to conflict.

Up to three scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Programme Duration

  • One year (or two years for selected programmes)

Benefits

  • Full tuition fees
  • Maintenance allowance of approximately £20,000
  • Accommodation support (single room in UCL residence)
  • Immigration Health Surcharge coverage
  • Visa fees covered
  • One return flight

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be from a country outside the UK
  • Must be at serious risk or displaced due to armed conflict
  • Must have left home country within the last 3 years or be internally displaced
  • Must come from a low-income background
  • Must be eligible for overseas fee status
  • Must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level
  • Must have an offer to study a full-time Master’s at UCL
  • Must have valid travel documents

Important Notes

  • Distance learning and part-time programmes are not eligible
  • Cannot be combined with other scholarships or funding
  • Selection is based on financial need
