The UCL Humanitarian Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded opportunity for students who are at serious risk or have been displaced due to armed conflict to pursue a full-time master’s degree at University College London (UCL).
The scholarship is designed to support individuals from low-income backgrounds who have been forced to leave their home country or are internally displaced due to conflict.
Up to three scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Programme Duration
- One year (or two years for selected programmes)

- Full tuition fees
- Maintenance allowance of approximately £20,000
- Accommodation support (single room in UCL residence)
- Immigration Health Surcharge coverage
- Visa fees covered
- One return flight
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be from a country outside the UK
- Must be at serious risk or displaced due to armed conflict
- Must have left home country within the last 3 years or be internally displaced
- Must come from a low-income background
- Must be eligible for overseas fee status
- Must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level
- Must have an offer to study a full-time Master’s at UCL
- Must have valid travel documents
Important Notes
- Distance learning and part-time programmes are not eligible
- Cannot be combined with other scholarships or funding
- Selection is based on financial need
